For Christmas, my in-laws gave me some Amazon gift cards. I used them to get some crazy-flavored K-Cups, some colored pencils for all the adult coloring I'm going to be doing (stop looking at me like that, I've actually used them), and this book called The 52 Lists Project, by Moorea Seal. Basically it's a prompt journal, but with weekly prompts. You're prompted to make a list based on that week's subject.
This week's prompt: List your goals and dreams for the year.
I have amended this to add the things I'm looking forward to this year. Anyway:
Goals and Dreams
- To be more organized (haha)
- To keep a cleaner house (hahaha)
- Get rid of the things I truly don't need
- Blog more
- Complain less (hahahaaaa)
- Exercise more
- Eat more healthy foods and less junk (today's lunch was a Slim Jim, a small bag of cheddar and sour cream Ruffles, and a Mounds bar so... that one's going swimmingly)
- Perhaps a career change?
- Plan a great birthday party for Allyson, who will be nine this year (WHAT)
- Get a new dog (Ben and I have toyed with this for awhile now; Franklin needs a fuzzy brother)
- Getting more into the Word and getting even closer to God.
Things I'm Looking Forward To
- Celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary with a trip to St. Louis. We did this for our tenth and it was a blast. Ben and I are both die-hard Cardinals fans so we totally plan to take in a couple of games while we're there.
- My 20 year high school reunion (but I'm a baby, how could I be out of high school for 20 years already?)
- My brother Dan and his fiancee Tasha, who got engaged on Christmas Day, are getting married in September.
- Birthdays! Ben will be 39 (eek), I will be 38 (eek again), and as previously mentioned Allyson will be 9.
So! That's that. Here's to 2017. May you not be as much of a stinker as 2016 was.
