Dear Guys Who My Landlord Paid to Put in Our New Windows:

I sure hope he didn't overpay you. Because of you, the screen portion of our kitchen window does not close all the way. Leaves a gap just big enough for, oh, a GIGANTIC FREAKING WASP to fly through.

Thanks A Buncho,
Kristina.

I have since sealed the gap with packing tape (because Ben did not like my two other solutions, "close the window" and "go back in time and supervise the window installation"). The wasp is currently trapped in the living room window, which remains closed. Ben didn't like that plan at first either, but then I reminded him that he's deathly allergic to bee and wasp stings. I'm not sure if I am, I've never been stung (knock on wood). We don't know if Allyson is, and I'm not so sure I want to find out. Just like I didn't want to find out if the squirrel she chased and almost caught once was rabid.

So we're just waiting for this wasp to die of starvation or something. It's kind of hanging out in a corner right now, I'm not sure if it's dead or just asleep. We'll find out in the morning.

In other news, we spent a good chunk of the day at the park. It was a playdate, with actual kids and actual other moms for me to actually talk to. Couple of gals from church - their sons were in the preschool choir I lead. I am also losing both sons (oddly, both are named Logan) to Kindergarten. Oh well. I am gaining Logan W.'s little brother. And Allyson. Joye didn't make it, her allergies were bugging her.

Today's Cough Drop Wisdom: Bet on yourself. But I lose a lot of the time. Enh.
