Today's Inspirational Cough Drop Message: Tough is your middle name.
Well, it's Diane. But thanks for playing anyway, I guess.
There is really no good time to be sick. Like ever.
I let Allyson watch Max & Ruby this morning, to see if I still hate it. Answer: Yes. What transpired was Ruby was working on a puzzle and kept yelling at Max to leave her alone. She loses a piece, Max finds it - and then she demands that Max help her with the rest of it. Holy crap. One of these days Max is going to hit her in the face with a shovel.
Last week I caught myself watching a couple of episodes of iCarly (and one of Victorious). Did I like it? I added iCarly to our Netflix queue, so you tell me. I have liked some of the live-action Disney stuff for awhile (I legitimately like Wizards of Waverly Place - isn't that little Selena Gomez adorable?). But now Ben thinks I'm weird. Well, Ben, at least I don't talk back to Starcraft podcasts.
Yesterday, I had two solid hours of time to myself. Ben's mom wanted to hang out with Allyson for awhile, and Ben is layspeaking at a nursing home next month so he tagged along this month to see what happens.
Acceptable uses of time for two solid hours to yourself: Nap, long uninterrupted bubble bath, eating ice cream out of the container and watching bad reality TV (I LOVE America's Next Top Model for this).
What your intrepid blogger did: Ten minutes of catching up on Facebook, spent rest of the time going through Allyson's toys.
Well, darnit, it's way easier to find toys to get rid of when the child isn't getting them out of the donation box every three seconds to play with it. Even if she hasn't seen it in like six months.
I end with another bit of Cough Drop Wisdom: Flex your "can do" muscle. In bed.
