TIRED. With a capital TIRED.
I put in my notice at Kmart. My last day there is tomorrow.
Why?
I started my new job last week. I like it. It's a much smaller store with no rewards program and no credit card people will rudely refuse to sign up for. I get along well with the majority of my co-workers (there are two I'm not big on, but neither is anyone else really).
I told the HR lady at Kmart that, okay. I would be willing to work one or two nights a week until liquidation is over. What'd she do? Scheduled me every day I wasn't there. A couple times, I worked at both places.
I haven't had a full day off since Mother's Day.
I was contemplating sticking it out for awhile until my supervisor Patty said, "Wow, at this rate, you'll never see Allyson." I went home and typed up my notice that night.
I will miss it. I'll miss my co-workers, anyway. I won't miss the constant barrage of liquidation-related bull droppings.
In other news, we found out what happened to Kenny, my mom's cat that got out. He'd been hit by a car not even two blocks away. Ben found him on his morning walk and was just heartbroken. My mom did get a new kitten last week, too; her name is Peggy and she's the cutest little thing (who hates my toes, for some reason).
Also: Allyson is officially going to be in third grade this fall. What the heck?! She also starts softball; her first game is tomorrow. I am excited!
